10 Lessons Learned

These are the things I have learned so far from the big power outage. (Yes, we're still without power. Day #4 and counting.)

1. I can survive without a hairdryer.
2. Laundromats do not take quarters.
3. Laundromats are expensive.
4. I have wonderful family and neighbors. (I already knew that, but it's reinforced in times like these.)
5. My children don't seem to whine about no TV as much as some others. (I chalk this up to my "if the sun is out, so are you" rule.)
6. I take electricity for granted.
7. I really really LIKE electricity.
8. I would not be a happy Amish momma.
9. I can survive the morning without a cup of java.
10. It's ok for the house to be even messier when the power's out. I can't see it. :)
